The Right Response

This past week we asked the children to respond to the conversations we've been having about human rights.  After our brainstorming session on Thursday, students chose to create an image, poem or song to illustrate a right they felt was important.

The children worked diligently, eagerly creating and revising.  We will create a book of the final result for the library in the hopes it will spark future conversations in Prairie Creek classrooms. Thanks to all of our volunteers, Susannah Ottaway, David Lefkowitz, Nancy Carriel, and Michele Reese who helped the students craft their responses.

Here are some snippets of the music group in action.  MM
