Seeing Where We Came From

P4010046On Monday, the Herons had the honor of helping the Nuthatches work on their personal projects.  It was a very exciting time for everyone.  The Nuthatches were getting a ton of work done (Elise pointed out that it was the equivalent of 10 volunteer hours) and the Herons were, I know, reflecting on just how far they've come.

They quickly set to work helping the Nuthatches add to their list of questions.  Soon books were open and Herons were scanning for relevant information which they would then read aloud to the Nuthaches.  Often they would ask, "Do you want that?  Would it be useful?"  When the answer was "Yes" (which it almost always was) the Heron and the Nuthatch would work to get the information down on paper.

Soon whole pages of facts were created and the Nuthatches felt like they were well on their way.  What a great way to spend a half hour!
