Thank You

I hope that many of you will be able to come to Prairie Creek's first annual volunteer appreciation event this Wednesday morning.  Even if you aren't able to come, please know how grateful I am of everything volunteers have done for the Herons and the school this year.

I feel so supported and encouraged in the work that I do with your children.  From our trip to Caron Park, down the Silk Road and now in Village, you have taken time from your busy lives to join us in our learning.  Every day, parents help to nourish our students in the lunch program (which ensures every child in our school, no matter their family's finances, has access to a substantial midday meal.)  You've fed the teachers during conferences.  You've set up events.  You've put away countless chairs.  You've shared your talents and time during the auction.  You've read with children.  You've mentored them.

With such support, it is easy to do a little more and go a little farther.  It's a joy to be able to teach in a school in which you know there are so many helping hands ready to pitch in.  Thank you.  I am deeply appreciative for everything you've given to the school.  Thank you.
