Prairie Creek May Day is a special event on our calendar. Our whole community — Castle Rock, students, staff, parents, grandparents, and alumni come together to laugh, parade, shiver, dance, eat and celebrate the special connections we have.
I was honored to be able to guide today's event (Caroline was in Washington D.C. representing our school to legislators) and was thrilled to have a chance to talk about the symbolism the May Pole has for me. The ribbons look so beautiful woven together, a physical representation of the whole we create when we weave together the disparate elements of a community.
